Jessica Ann Sauter, 25, precious daughter of John and Veronica and beloved sister of Emily and Jake was born June 10, 1985 in Waukesha, WI and passed away on December 30, 2010 after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer. Jess is a 2003 honors graduate of Cathedral High School where she was active in theatre and is a member of the Thespian Society. She attended Purdue and IUPUI where she worked as a tutor in the IUPUI Writing Center and received the Outstanding Tutor of the Year Award in 2010. She will always be remembered for her free spirit, unusual wit, love of all animals, and preference for all things lime green and amazing collection of outrageous sneakers. Her sense of humor never failed her, even to the end. Jess is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Bettie Whitney, and her paternal grandfather, Walt Sauter along with aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also especially fond of all of those who cared for her at the Community North Cancer Center. Visitation is Sunday, January 2, 2011 at St Simon the Apostle from 6:30-9 pm. The funeral Mass is at 12:30 pm on January 3, 2011 also at St Simon with burial to follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
