Ruby Lee Kimsey, age 76, of Ducktown, TN, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at Copper Basin Medical Center. Mrs. Kimsey was born Friday, July 31, 1931 in Cherokee County , NC to the late William "Shafter" Swanson and the late Stella Early Swanson.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husand, Owen Kimsey, sons, Ray Evans and Arlan Evans, brother, Harley Bud Swanson, sisters, Willma Allen Tucker and Louise Towel .

Survivors include: daughter & son-in-law, Loretta & Arvil Cross of Ducktown, TN, son, Larry Evans of Dallas , GA, daughter, Arlene Beason of LaFayette, GA,brother and sister-in-law Ray and Cookie Swanson of Gastonia, NC, sister, Marie Prince of Gastonia, NC, and sister, Shirley Hughes of Chatsworth, GA, many grandchildren, and several great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with the Reverend Reed Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 - 2:00 pm:, Wednesday, March 26.
