Esther B. “Diddy” (Nelson) Peck, 94, beloved wife of the late Willard B. Peck, of Wethersfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Hartford Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Eleanora Nelson. Esther enjoyed baking and cooking but her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her son Alan W. Peck of Wethersfield, and her two daughters Norma L. Peck of Wethersfield and Janet E. Brown of East Hartford. She is also survived by her grandson Jason Peck and his wife Anne (Hasty) of Wethersfield, her great-grandchildren Christopher and Samantha Peck of Wethersfield and a special niece Eleanor Engdall of Waterford. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bliss 5 East at Hartford Hospital, especially Donna G., RN. The funeral is Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
