Rose "lucee"  Farina
Rose Lucy "Lucee" Rose (LaPenta) Farina, 82, loving wife for 65 years of Frank Farina, Sr. died peacefully on Saturday, (October 21, 2006) at Kimberly Hall Health Care Center, Windsor. She was born July 26, 1924 in East Hartford and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rochina (Diamond) LaPenta. Lucy was a devoted Catholic. She worked at Sun Light Bakery where she would later meet her beloved husband, Frank. After leaving the family farm she married her husband. She later worked at G. Fox & Co. in Hartford. Lucy's biggest job of all was bringing up her four children. Lucy is well known for her marvelous family meals and Christmas cookies made each year with her beloved friends, Paula and Mario. Pleasure Beach held many summer memories for Lucy and her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren and pet dog, Daisy were her pride and joy. Lucy was predeceased by her son, Frank A. Farina, Jr., two sisters, Angeline Leone and Mary Fortunato, her two nieces, Suzzane Leone and Linda Fortunato. Besides her husband, Lucy is survived by a daughter, Sandra Cianci and her husband, Paulie of South Windsor, two sons, Anthony Farina and his wife, Karen of South Windsor and Robert Farina of Newington, eight grandchildren, Jason Cianci, Ryan Cianci, Michael Farina, Frankie Farina,III, Calee Farina, Tiana Farina, Julee Farina, and Rachel Farina, also several nieces and nephews among them Janice and Anita who gave Aunt Lucy loving support and care. Lucee also leaves behind her dear friends, Jessica Rodriguez and Jill Farina. The family would like to thank the staff, especially nurse Emma, at Kimberly Hall Health Care for the special care given to Lucy. Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
