Obituary for James Speigal

Speigal, James age 82, of Brook Park (born in Uniontown,PA), passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 31, 2009. Beloved son of Herman Thomas and Agnes Speigal (both deceased). He is survived by Helen Joyce (nee Yurkrenic), his beloved wife of 63 years. Dear father of Thomas (Judy), Charles (Diane), Linda (John) Zakel, and James Jr. (Donna). Devoted brother of Thomas (Stella)(both deceased), Betty (Attico) Brandi, Patricia (Harry-deceased) McNutt, Delores (Wilber-deceased) Hawkins, Joseph (Carol), Carol (William) Pluto, Barbara (Barry-deceased) Demko, Herman (deceased)(Diane), and Judy (Don) Radey. Cherished grandfather of 12. Great grandfather of 14. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

US Naval veteran of WWII and the Korean War. General Foreman, Electrical Department, Republic Steel, retired with 31 years of service. He was an avid golfer, for the love of the game.

The family will receive friends in celebration of James' life at Humenik Funeral Chapel, 14200 Snow Road, Brook Park on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday at St. Peter the Apostle Church, 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
