Obituary for Rev. John Wesley Fletcher

Rev. John Wesley Fletcher of Chatham, Ontario went to be with his Lord on September 15, 2009 in his 95th year. Rev Fletcher had served his Lord as a pastor in several Free Methodist Churches in Southwestern Ontario for 43 years.

He was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Street) for 70 years. He will be missed by his son and two daughters and their spouses, Donna (Riley) Medel of Tillsonburg, Charles (Elaine) Fletcher of Niagara Falls and Judy (Jim) Kitchen of Tupperville.

He is also survived by six grandchildren: Greg (Patricia) Fletcher of Arcadia, CA, Brad (Heather) Medel of Tillsonburg; Kristy (Dave) Toulouse of Wallaceburg; Doug Fletcher of Katy, TX; Janice (Steve) Mellott of Spencerport, NY; Karen (Matt) Miller of Petrolia and by eleven great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rev J.A. Fletcher and Eliza (Hamilton) Fletcher and by two brothers and three sisters.

He will be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitors will be received at the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home, 620 Cross St. Dresden, Friday 2 â€" 4 p.m. and 7 â€" 9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Terry Clyne on Saturday September 19, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Free Methodist Church, 2951 Bentpath Line, Sombra Township with visitation prior to the service, 12 â€" 1 p.m. Interment in Dresden Cemetery.
