Phyllis (Felicidad) Bringhurst (age 81) entered into rest on June 23, 2009 in Bellingham, WA. Phyllis was born on March 7, 1928 in Batangas, Philippines to Garcia and Marcella Javier. She graduated from high school in the Philippines in 1945 and became a US citizen in 1948. Phyllis met and married Bernard Bringhurst in 1946 in the Philippines. She worked for 40 years as an owner/operator in the restaurant industry. Phyllis had many hobbies and loves; she enjoyed the piano, hula dancing, bowling and was a volunteer at the Bellingham Senior Center. She will be remembered for her many personal qualities some of which were loving, faithful, energetic, humorous and hardworking. She is survived by her sons, Bernie Bringhurst of Lynden, WA, Sam Bringhurst of Fairbanks, AK, John Bringhurst of Fairbanks, AK; daughter, Marcella Barton or Maple Falls, WA, and fifteen grandchildren. She is preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be held at Jerns Funeral Chapel 800 E.
