Obituary for Veryl Hass (Kriesel)

Veryl Hass, 92, of Princeton died peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Elim Home in Princeton.
Veryl Nancy (Kriesel) Hass was born March 9, 1917 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin to Herman and Vera (Bixby) Kriesel. She grew up in Columbia Heights, Minnesota.
In 1936 she was united in marriage to Otto Hass and they raised two sons Jeff and William. They made their home in Spencer Brook and later Dalbo. After Otto passed away Veryl moved to Cambridge. She later moved to Princeton, and for the past two years was a resident at the Elim Home in Princeton.
Veryl was a longtime member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Crown. She was a foster parent to 13 girls and was also active as a foster grandparent at Cambridge High School for several years. She enjoyed bird watching and watching Fox news.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Otto in June 1992, sister Jean Hoppe, brothers Mick, Clair, and Louis Kriesel.
Veryl is survived by her sons Jeff and wife Linda Hass of Princeton, Bill and wife Mary Hass of Blaine, four grandchildren Dwayne Hass of Princeton, Jeff (Tiffany) Hass of Ramsey, Julie (Jim) Perrone of Chaska, Rachel (Tom) Marquardt of Coon Rapids, three great grandchildren Anthony and Alex Perrone, Delaney Hass, sister Donna and husband Ed Heine of Spokane, WA, sister-in-law Florence Kriesel of Coon Rapids, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
