Frances B. Brooks, age 80, of Pinson, Al went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2009. Mrs. Brooks led a full and happy life with her husband of 63 years, Billy R. Brooks. She worked for many years at Moore Handley and then several years at Zac Smith Stationery. She and her husband opened Brooks Print Shop in 1985, located in Woodlawn on Georgia Rd in Birmingham, AL where she worked until she retired in 1998. She is survived by her husband Billy R. Brooks, daughter Jackie B. Poteet of Pinson, AL, son Billy O’Ree Brooks (his wife, Lynn Posey Brooks) of Morris, AL, and two grandchildren Jaree C. Poteet of Miami, FL and Clint Brooks of Morris, AL. She has one niece, three nephews and many cousins. She is predeceased by her mother Lorraine Hollis Campbell, stepfather Eugene Campbell and one sister Sarah Nunnally. Mrs. Brooks was a loving, caring and giving wife, mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed by everyone. Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, Trussville, AL on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 5pm until 7pm. Graveside services will be on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 3pm.
