Condolences

Condolence From: Lorna Kathol
Condolence: It has been almost one month since I opened my email at home and received the tragic news from Wendy, that Debbie had passed away suddenly. I am as numb today when I think about Debbie's death as I was when I first heard about it. The ringette community has lost a terrific person as has the world. I look at life a little differently today and I view the little daily annoyances differently too. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Debbie's family and Wendy's. Lorna Kathol

Condolence From: Trina Buchanan
Condolence: What a lovely tribute today to Debbie. As I listened, and watched the slide show, it is evident that you have a close, loving family, and many memories to get you through the tough times. I always found Debbie to be an extremely easy person to deal with, and I always felt like she "looked after" me, making sure I always knew what was going on, and making sure everything was fair. She was always the first to greet me at a meeting with a smile, and I often found myself sitting with her, and talking afterwards. Please accept my condolences. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Trina Buchanan Buffalo Plains Ringette Association

Condolence From: Glenda Berry (Harris)
Condolence: Orest and Family, I was stunned to receive Jennifer's call on my cell phone this afternoon informing me of Debbie's passing. Jennifer, I am SO grateful that you took the time to track me down, as I don't imagine that was easy. Thanks so much. My thoughts are prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time. Unfortunately, my mother is very ill and just arrived home from hospital this afternoon, or I would be on a plane to pay respects to my dear friend. As fate would have it, I just went on to yellow.ca on the Internet to do a search to see if Orest & Deb were still residing on Wellband. I had plans to give a couple of my oldest and dearest friends in Regina that are turning 50 next year a call to see if we could plan a celebration/reunion one weekend next year. I had made a note to call Debbie as soon as my mom was back from the hospital in Calgary. I deeply regret not making that call sooner. As I read the tribute to Deb in today's Leader Post, I realize that while many years of past, my dear friend carried on with her life and love for family and people in general exactly the way I would have expected. Many of my most treasured life memories are of my teenage years with my very best friend Deb. No doubt my memories are only a drop in the bucket compared to yours. May your memories of such a loving, kind, generous, and fun-filled woman fill your hearts during this difficult time. If there is ANYTHING I can do, please don't hesitate to call me (204) 257-8318. May God bless each of you. With love and heartfelt sympathy, Glenda
