Obituary for Blanche Louise "Sue" Tague (Cary)

SIOUX CITY -- Blanche "Sue" Tague, 88, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.

Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Captains Von and Linda Vandiver of the Salvation Army officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Funeral Homes. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com.

Blanche Louise Tague was born Dec. 22, 1919, to John and Blanche (Grout) Cary in Sioux City. She attended and graduated from high school in Wakefield, Neb. with the class of 1937.

She and Albert Tague were married on Jan. 24, 1942, in South Sioux City. She spent her working years at Armour Foods, Morningside College as a cook and several years with the Salvation Army. Other than the 14 years she lived in Arkansas, she spent her entire life in the Sioux City area.

She was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Senior Center.

She is survived by her daughters, Myrna Rupe of Marshall, Ark., and Alberta Nagel of Sioux City; a granddaughter, Verla Corethers of South Sioux City; a great-grandson, Paul Corethers; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
