Obituary for Steven Lee Sisk

Steven Lee  Sisk
Steven Lee Sisk, 52, of Clinton, Missouri, died Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at the Sisk Family Farm, Montrose, Mo.

He was born September 10, 1956, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Kenneth Sisk and Constance Ann (Tosspon) Sisk. On September 23, 1978, in Dayton, Mo., he married Belinda Sue Gamber and she survives of the home in Clinton.

Steve owned and operated the Sisk Tree Service for 15 years and had worked as a tree trimmer for 29 years. He was a Veteran of the Navy. He enjoyed hunting arrowheads, spoonbilling, camping, gardening, and anything outdoors. He was also an accomplished flower gardener. Steve worked with his wife Belinda at Harmony Gardens Assisted Living in Warrensburg, where he was loved and appreciated by all the neighbors and staff. He enjoyed his faithful companion “Princess Ann.”

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Eren Sue Dressler and her husband William Edward II, and grandchildren William Edward Dressler III and Chloe Ariana Dressler, all of Stallings, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Maraya Lynn Sisk and Thomas Alexander Sisk, both of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; his mother and step-father, Connie and Larry Hamilton, LaTour, Mo.; 4 brothers, Carl Akers and his wife Brenda, Pensacola, Florida, Ronald Baake and his wife Wendy, Waterford, Wisconsin, Robert Baake and his wife Kimberly, Holden, Mo., and Kevin Sisk, Independence, Mo.; 3 sisters, Vickie Murrill and her husband Ben, Marshfield, Mo., Cindy Williams, Warsaw, Mo., and Teri Sisk, Peculiar, Mo.; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and DeeDee Sell, Clinton, Mo.; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father on April 28, 2008, and his only son, Thomas Lee Sisk on October 18, 2007.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 13, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in the Stone’s Chapel Cemetery, Montrose, Mo. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to the Steven Lee Sisk Survivors Fund or Crossroads Hospice in care of the funeral home.
