Maria DeLourdes Gutierrez was born on March 11, 1962 in Hidalgo, Mexico, the daughter of Guadalupe and Elvira (Suarez) Gutierrez. Maria was united in marriage to Pedro Moedano in Hidalgo, Mexico. She was a production worker at Tyson Foods, Incorporated in Columbus Junction and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Maria enjoyed cooking, shopping and taking pictures, but most of all spending time with her children. Pedro was born on March 7, 1962 in Hildago, Mexico, the son of Jose and Juliana (Perez) Moedano. He was also a production worker at Tyson Foods, Inc. and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Pedro enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and dancing and spending time with friends.

Maria and Pedro will be dearly missed by their children, Alfredo Moedano of Ohio, Carlos Moedano and fiancée Brandy Koenig of Muscatine, Sandy Moedano, Blanca Eli Moedano and Guadalupe Ivan Moedano, all of Columbus Junction; one grandchild, Marcos Anthony Moedano; Maria’s mother, Elvira Gutierrez of Mexico; Pedro’s parents, Jose and Juliana Moedano of San Diego, CA; Maria’s 4 sisters and 1 brother; Pedro’s 3 sisters and 6 brothers; and many friends.

Maria and Pedro were preceded in death by Maria’s father and 2 brothers; and Pedro’s paternal and maternal grandparents.
