Mary Christena Conley 90, of Charlotte, MI died October 10, 2006. Mary was born December 22, 1915 in rural Eaton County. She worked at Wilcox-Gay and later retired from Hayes Green Beach Hospital as a nurse's aide after 19 years. Following retirement, she was active in the Foster Grandparents Program for 14 years. Mary also was a member of the First Congregational Church UCC of Charlotte. She is survived by her daughter, Joan [Gerald] Emmons of Parma, son, Gene [Ruth] Conley, of Charlotte and brothers & sisters in law; Max [Ruth] Brown, of Charlotte, Clayton 'Bud' & [Mary] Brown, of Springport, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Husband Howard, her parents Wilson and Verna [Kohn] Brown, and brothers Walter 'Jack' and Paul Brown and sister Viva Bosman. Visitation will be Friday 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 10:30 at the Pray Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery on October 14, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Phil Hobson officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Charlotte Area Public Library (children's section) or the Congregational Church of Charlotte.
