Obituary for Karen M. Bower

Karen M. Bower, 50, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, went to be with our Lord on Friday, April 11, 2008 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Karen was born March 8, 1958 to the late Olga and Fred Kravontka in Waukegan, Illinois. She was a member of Calvary Harvest Church of Gurnee where she was involved in many different ministries and outreaches. Her passion in life was spreading God's word to anyone who would listen. She was also a kind and compassionate wife and mother who loved spending time with her husband, children and grandson.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Heather (Ricardo Tapiador Jr.) Verbracken; two sons, Chris and Zack Verbracken; two step-sons, Ben and Andy (Sarah) Bower; grandson, Eric Grieshaber; and one brother, Fred (Debbie) Kravontka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Olga Kravontka; and her aunt, Helen.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at Calvary Harvest Church, 5501 Stearns School Road, Gurnee, with Pastors Robert Abbott and Kenneth May officiating, and private cremation to follow. Visitation will be Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at the Church. Memorial donations to Calvary Harvest Church have been suggested.
