Garrett, Dorothy Lynn (Wood); 78 of Louisville, Ky, passed away peacefully at home with family and friends by her side on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Cuzner and Wilbur H. Wood and her brothers Donald C. and Wilbur H. Wood, Jr. Dottie is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Fred M. Garrett, Jr.; her children Katherine W. Garrett ( Robert Hancock) and Steven M. Garrett (Sena); grandchildren Todd Hancock (Kara), Lynn, Katherine Leigh, Collier and Rebecca Garrett; great grandchild, Heidi Hancock; and her beloved friend Rachel Wobbe Woofter.

Dottie was a meticulous homemaker, avid gardener, loving wife/mother/grandmother and extraordinary friend. These attributes were surpassed only by her legacy of determination, courage, generosity and faith.

Visitation will be held at the Garrett family home from 5-7 p.m. Friday. Funeral services held Saturday at Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church Chapel, 311 Browns Lane at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
