Obituary for Kathy Sue Smith

Kathy Sue Smith, age 56 of Caryville, TN passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014. Kathy was a member of Willow Brook Baptist Church where she was a Children’s Church teacher. She worked as an LPN for Open Arms Care in Knoxville. Kathy loved caring for others, scrapbooking, sewing, singing gospel music, playing games, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Wilma Foust and brothers, Dennis and Gary Foust.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Andy Smith of Caryville; son, Ron Tucker of Caryville & step son Dusty Smith & wife Shelly of Jacksboro; daughters, Tara Friske & husband Rusty of Andersonville & Courtney Nelson & husband Chris of LaFollette; brothers, Jerry Foust of Lake City & Terry Foust of Medford; grandchildren, Preston, Nathan, Lily, Carter, Destiny, Melody & Lyric. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Kathy’s family will receive her friends on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 6pm – 8pm with her celebration of life immediately following at 8pm all in the chapel of Jones Mortuary with Rev. Roger Leach officiating. Her interment will be Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 2pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, TN. Jones Mortuary in Clinton, TN is in charge of all arrangements.
