Mark Douglas Kniss, 58, of Maple Forest Township, passed away on December 26, 2013.
Mark was born in Traverse City, Michigan on October 7, 1955, a son of Ruth (Doyle)
and Royce Dale Kniss
He married the former Cathy Dasho on November 1, 1986 at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Grayling.
Mark was retired from Weyerhauser and worked as a school bus driver for Crawford AuSable School District. He has been the Supervisor of Maple Forest Township since 1987.
Mark is remembered as a family man that was selfless and hard working. He enjoyed camping, fishing,
and outdoor activities.
Mark is survived by his wife Cathy of 27 years.

Sons: Dale (Chelsey) Kniss, of Brethren, MI;
Jason (Kristin) Dasho, of Frederic, MI.
Grandchildren: Mark-Douglas Tyler Kniss, William Zachary Paulus, Alexis Therese Kniss, Cody Lane Russell Paulus, Kaylee Jo Kniss, Grace Hannah Marie Paulus, Jonah Benjamin Kniss, Walker LaRoi James Kniss, Emma Lucille Dasho.
Great granddaughter: Alexia Jane Kniss

Memorial Service will be held at Mt. Hope Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
with Pastor Todd Brunworth officiating.
