Today we celebrate the Home Going of Donna Kite Robbins of Roanoke went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2013 at the age of 70. She was preceded by her parents, Margaret and D. A. Kite and her sister, Bonnie Spero.
Mrs. Robbins work for several years with Target as a Sales Associate. She really enjoyed being a Volunteer. A member of New Life Christian Ministries she was involved with the Womens’ and Children Ministries, Care Group Leader, sang with the choir and help where ever she can all though the church. Found joy in putting others before herself. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and someone who never met a stranger, will be dearly missed by all.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, a marriage blessed by God, Steven W. Robbins; sons John Michael Robbins of Roanoke, Jeff Robbins and wife Jodi of Hardy, Jamie Robbins and wife Sarah of Roanoke; daughter, Joy Robbins Napper and husband David of Montreal; grandchildren, Chelsea Robbins, Noah Robbins, Jordyn Robbins, Eryn Faith Napper, Barbara Grace Napper, Jayden Mitchell; a brother, Stephen Kite of Midlothian; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to staff of Carilion Tenth Floor South, Dr. P. Mallidi, her family, church, and friends for their love, prayers, care, and support.
Memorials may be made to the Uganda Project at New Life Ministries in her name.
A service celebrating Mrs. Robbins life will be 11:00am Friday November 8, 2013 at New Life Christian Ministries with Pastor Tony Atkinson and Pastor Walter Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Garden. Friends may visit with the family Thursday November 7, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home. She was a member and a servant of New Life Christian Ministries for over 39 years, but mainly served our Lord Jesus Christ with her life, deeds, and actions. She showed Jesus in everything she did. She will be greatly missed, but she is in the arms of Jesus.
