Obituary for Karen Gloria Wagner (Beckelman)

Karen Gloria Wagner (Beckelman)
Karen Gloria Wagner was born in Staten Island New York on July 15, 1949. She was born to Charles, and his wife Gloria (Keithline) Beckelman. Karen and her family moved to the Tulsa area in 1962. She was a graduate of Tulsa Public Schools in 1967. The following year she married Gary Moore Wagner at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Tulsa, OK on April 26th.

Karen accepted the farm life that Gary was accustomed to, and after having several small farms of their own, they settled at the family farm in Broken Arrow that Gary's grandfather had built. Karen was not only just a home maker, but she also participated in tending to various day to day chores around the farm. Karen had three children that she was very proud of, beginning with Dusty in 1978, Kristin in 1982, and Ashley 1985. She was very active and showed support in all their school activities. In 1996, she and Gary moved to the Coweta area with their three children, where she lived until her death.

Family was the most important thing in Karen's life. She was very proud of the adults her children have grown into and loved spending time with them and her grandchildren. Karen called so many of her three children's friends extended sons and daughters. She referred to them as her adopted children, and they called her mom when they would see each other. Karen also enjoyed visiting with her extended family whenever she could, and always looked forward to the conversations with her close friends.

Karen was the type of person who never met a stranger. She was always the smiling familiar face, greeting customers at Wal-Mart, and directing them where they needed to go. Karen had worked for Wal-Mart for over 13 years holding several positions throughout the store helping in every way possible.

Karen entered eternal life on November 1, 2013 at her residence in Coweta.

Karen is survived by son, Dusty Wagner of Coweta, daughter, Kristin and husband Wesley Spears of Coweta, daughter, Ashley Wagner of Coweta, grandchildren, Ethan, Corbin, and Sawyer, her brother, Kurt and wife Patti Beckelman of Broken Arrow, sister, Mari and husband Brett Raleigh of Phoenix AZ, step mother, Roberta Beckelman of Phoenix, AZ, step brother, David and his wife Kathleen Baker of Tucson, AZ, step brother, Kevin and his wife Margo Baker of Oklahoma City, step brother, Michael Baker of Austin, TX, step sister, Michelle Baker of Austin, TX, step brother, Richard Baker of Austin, TX and many nieces and nephews.
