Mary Rudesheim, 98, passed away at the Glendale Home on October 17, 2013. Born Maria Tiscione in Caiazzo, Italy on August 24, 1915, daughter of the late Erasmo and Maddalena(Fasula) Tiscione, Mary came to America at the age of six with her family. Educated in Schenectady at Nott Terrace, Mary married Jacob Rudesheim in 1947 and gave birth to daughter Madeline in 1950. Mary worked for the Carl Company in Willowbrook Plaza, Glenville for many years retiring in 1990 at the age of 75. She is still remembered by many faithful customers from her working days. After retirement her main interests were cooking and taking care of her family.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Jacob (1971), daughter Madeline (2005), sisters Rose (Dominic) Iagrossi, Jennie (Dominic) Mastroianni, Antoinette (Rico) Bertoli, and brother Serafino (Rose). Survivors include son-in-law William Barr (Pam) of Lake Luzerne; Grandchildren: Stacy Gale (Kevin) of Norwood, MA, Brett (Jessie) Barr of Cobleskill, Kelly Barr of Providence, R.I. and great-children: Samantha Grace Gale, Natalie Patricia Gale, Lucian McKee Gale, Elijah Truman Barr, and Ashtyn Madeline Barr. Also left behind are niece Josephine Parchetta (Scotia), Mary Burton (Albany), nephews, Anthony Iagrossi of Clifton Park, Anthony Mastroinanni (Ann Marie), Robert Iagrossi of Clifton Park, Frank Bertoli (Plattsburgh) Robert Tiscione (Roseville, CA) and Mario Ghezzo (Ballston Lake), as well as several great nieces and great nephews. Mary's family wishes to thank the nursing staff of building C-2nd floor of the Glendale Home for their care during Mary's stay. In addition, the family wishes to thank the hospice staff associated with Mary for their care and concern in her final few months, especially Karen Marsh and Corinne Tooley who made sure Mary's dignity and wishes were honored at all times. Thanks as well to Pat Pardi for assisting Mary with her personal needs over the past few years.

Special thanks to friends and family who made sure Mary had plenty of company
each week. Your visits meant so much to her. At Mary's request there will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be held Monday, October 21st at 9:00 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. Glenville with Rev. Jerome Gingras officiating. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady or to Catholic Charities.
