I am a building contractor from Central VA who found out about Elizabeth thanks to the powerful letter she wrote that is circulating the country and probably the world. I am sorry for your loss. I know that words from a stranger can not ease the pain but I will pray that you are given the strength to help you find peace. Her effort to reach out is an important one. We lose many young people every day because of horrible decisions they have made. As strange as it feels, I thought I needed to share this with you. I am working with a group trying to reach out in a way that is similar to what Elizabeth shared. I helped put together a book that is trying to reach out to young people before they make bad decisions. It is a collection of letters from inmates talking about what their bad decisions did and the lives that were adversely affected because of what they did. Drugs and alcohol certainly played a big role in many of the messages the inmates shared. We are trying to reach out around the country with this book.
