Condolences

Condolence From: Michelle Dickeson
Condolence: I truly believe that no friendship is an accident. It's all a part of God's plan and we should always be prepared to receive this beautiful gift. I'm also convinced that being a friend means being sensitive to God and mastering the art of His timing. There is a time for care-free laughter. There is a time for creating ties that bind. There is a time for encouraging words. There is a time for prayer. There is a time for sharing the love of God. Valerie Pfeiffer mastered all of the above and more! She was a gorgeous and masterful friend. Time, nor separation, did not take away from sweet Val's tender nature. I met her as a child, a delightful classmate and always a fabulous friend. Even then I understood that she loved deeply and was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. An angel on earth is exactly what she was to all that had the honor of knowing her and her precious family. As life would have it, we were separated. I will forever be deeply thankful that we were able to reconnect, sharing God's goodness and the joy of friendship once again. Unfortunately, the clock is always ticking, the hours are going by too quickly. The past increases, the future recedes. Possibilities decreasing, regrets mounting and before you know it is time to let go - picking up the pieces of our broken hearts and shedding healing tears because she is gone from our world. Valerie is now at peace, sleeping pain-free! Mercifully, "Angel Friends" never leave your heart, even if they leave your life for a while. Still, I am thankful - She lived, she loved us, and she blessed our lives like no other! We will see her beautiful smiling face again... 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

Condolence: My daughter Hope was one of the kids blessed enough to be taught by, advocated for, and loved on by Valerie. She went above and beyond to not just support Hope, but our family as well. We rejoice with you that she is in the arms of Jesus while grieving with you that she's gone. Praying for the Lord's comfort and peace for you all.

Condolence: Mark, I have never read a more beautiful and loving tribute about someone. I could feel, smell and see everything you described about her. I had the privilege of knowing Valerie from CHS and also Bob and June Sturrock's family were neighbors of mine many years ago. Thank you for sharing her life and your love for her through your eyes, she would have been very pleased. May God embrace you and the family with love and comfort today and always.

Condolence: My prayers go out to Valerie's family in this time of farewell to a wonderful person. She was my friend and colleague. She was always positive and so loving to her students. She thought all of them were the most wonderful children she had ever known. And then she would meet another one and her list of wonderful children would grow. She loved her family with an intense and protective love. She filled our office with wonderful stories of her adventures and experiences. She was tremendously proud of Mark's new book that had been published. I will miss her sweet smile, her gentle soft voice, and her kind spirit. Heaven is a sweeter place with her there. We will all see her again in glory someday.

Condolence: My Deepest Sympathies to the Pfeiffer and Sturrock Families. Know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. With the sudden passing away of Valerie, our friend and co-worker it takes time to even begin to fathom the reality of this event. Valarie would want us to be patient and take care of each other and take the time to remember her. Valerie had a charismatic personality, lived with patience and had so much love for her family, children and for her work as a VI Teacher. Valerie brought her great smile and attitude to our VI Office. Valerie was always there for us, we, I will miss her very much!

Condolence: Valerie, you are one of the sweetest people that I have ever met. You always did what was best for your students and made sure that they knew how much you cared about them. Your thoughtfulness and your beautiful smile will be missed greatly. I'm blessed because I knew you and got to spend time talking about life, love and the joys of life, primarily our children. Thank you for taking time to make sure my day was brighter, no matter what yours had been like. I know you are home, but I'll miss hugging your neck and hearing you laugh. I'll continue to pray for those that will miss you most. So rest in the peace and joy you deserve.

Condolence From: Linda Keir
Condolence: When your family first arrived at Woodlawn's residence, I invited Valerie and the girls to scrapbook cards with me at my house. Instead, she used that time to run errands. I still remember how much I appreciated her trusting me with her children for several hours. When she returned, we had lunch together and shared our common interests. She taught me much about walking with the Lord in foreign places. I'm so glad she's comfortable now. Loving the Pfeiffers, Linda
