Mr. Dennis L. “Slug” Williams, age 57, of Stone Mountain, GA, passed away on Sunday morning, June 16, 2013, at the Hillandale-DeKalb Medical Center.

Mr. Williams was born in Rome on May 13, 1956, son of Martha Williams. He was a member of the Lovejoy Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the East Rome High School and attended the South Georgia College. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was an entrepreneur owning and operating, D&S Janitorial Services, LLC. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dale Patrice Williams.

Survivors include his wife, the former Sarah Terrell, to whom he was married, July 23, 1990; a daughter, Sabrina Williams Dixon, Rome; a son, Marcus Williams, and his wife, Mandy, Cedartown; his mother, Martha Williams, Rome; a sister, Sheila Williams, Rome; 4 brothers, Edwin Williams, Rome, Mark Williams, Rome, Lowell McCluney, and his wife, India, Rome, and Patrick McCluney, Rome; an uncle, James Williams, New Port News, VA; 6 grandchildren, Kandice Dixon, Tyrese, Jaydon, Jamarion, and Kylee Williams, and Tayshaun Dillard; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in the Lovejoy Baptist Church. Mr. Williams will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie instate from 1pm until time for the service.
