As a former deputy fire chief in Waterloo, I have fond memories of Jonathan visiting our fire Station on Columbia street for his "inspection". More than once Jonathan "scolded" us with a twinkle in his eye and then helped to replace a tattered flag. My fondest memory is of Jonathan helping to raise the flag at the (then) new Station 4 on University Avenue. I'm sure all the Waterloo Firefighters who shared a cold beverage with Jonathan will remember him for a very long time - I know I will. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
