LEWISTOWN - Shirley L. Baker, 77, of Lewistown, went home to be with the Lord at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Ohesson Manor.

Born on June 14, 1935, in Oliver Township, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde L. and Mabel (Settle) Rhodes.

Also preceding her in death were: her husband, Clyde J. "Tobe" Baker, on Nov. 11, 1991; daughter, Tambra L. Baker; son, Clyde Douglas Baker; and brothers, Carl L. and Gary L. Rhodes.

Shirley is survived by: son, Gregg Baker, his companion, Cheryl McCartle, and granddaughter, Kathy Jo Baker, all of Lewistown, and sisters, Betty J. Ripka, of Lewistown, and Donna M. Miller, of McVeytown.

She was a nursing assistant at Black's Hospital, then Mental Health Associates, and lastly, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home.

Shirley was a member of Calvary Bible Church.

Per her wishes, all services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
