Mr. Rickey Milton Green, age 58, 286 Kerce Road, NE, Kingston, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at his residence.

Mr. Green was born in Floyd County on August 5, 1954, son of the late Charlie Milton Green and the late Ruth Rice Green. He was employed for 30 years with Galey & Lord in Shannon but prior to his illness, he was employed with Neaton Rome, Inc. Mr. Green was a member of the Calhoun Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Glenda Faye Bowman, to whom he was married on December 23, 1996; 5 daughters, Ms. Tracey Dempsey, Rome, Ms. Susan Hopper, Rome, Mrs. Scarlett Gazaway, and her husband, Jeff, Plainville, Ms. Cindy Harris, Plainville, and Ms. Heather Green, Calhoun; 5 grandchildren, LeAnna Banks, and her husband, Josh, Rome, Erick Hopper, and his wife, Allison, Rome, Ashton Hopper, Rome, Kati Gazaway and Aubri Gazaway, both of Plainville; 2 great grandchildren, Madison and Kaley Banks, both of Rome; 2 sisters, Mrs. Barbara Moorehead, Savannah, and Mrs. Tina Moore, and her husband, Jimmy, Plainville; sister-in-law, Mrs. Carolyn Dudley, and her husband, Alton, Rome; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013, at 3pm at the graveside in Floyd Memory Gardens. The Rev. Mike Southerland will officiate.
