Obituary for Ruth Martin

Ruth Marie Martin, age 71, of New Philadelphia died peacefully in the Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia Wednesday evening, March 13, 2013, following an extended illness.

Born in her family home at New Philadelphia November 30, 1941, she was one of ten children born to the late George H. and Anna Marie McNutt Martin.

A homemaker for most of her life, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Martin, whom she wed May 28, 1961.

Survivors include her two daughters and son; Ruth Ann Moles of Midvale, Jeffrey Martin of Bristolville, O. and Debra Walker of Marysville, O.
A granddaughter, Misty (Kody) Thomas of Strasburg, and two great-grandchildren Kaden and Keizer Thomas also survive.

Survivors also include brothers Gene Martin of Brightwood, George (Toni) Martin of Uniontown and Jimmy (Christy) Martin of New Philadelphia, sisters Donna Linard of New Philadelphia, and Doris (Jim) Haas of Dover, a sister-in-law Judy Martin of New Philadelphia, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Zurcher of Dover. Many nieces and nephews complete the family.

Friends are invited to call Tuesday, March 19, from 3-4 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Pastor Larry Fletcher will lead Ruth’s memorial service Tuesday afternoon at 4.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of her daughter, in care of Ruth Martin, Huntington National Bank, 205 North Broadway, New Philadelphia OH 44663.
