Life Story for Nathan Johns

Nathan F. Johns, 68, passed away Feb. 7, 2013 at his home in Banning. He was born in Kentfield, Calif. on Jan. 16, 1945 to Nathaniel Johns and Jeffie Z. Morrison.
Nathan was married to his wife of 44 years, Patricia Johns, in Banning, and previously resided in New York City for 35 years.
He attended San Diego State University and Monterey Peninsula Junior College, and the Adult Continuing Education Program director at City University of New York for 15 years, and was the human resource development director at Fairchild Republic Aerospace Co. for 15 years.
He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Banning and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord and his family.
Nathan is survived by his wife, Patricia Johns of Banning; daughter, Tara Johns of Banning; mother, Jeffie Z. Morrison of Seaside, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Arzell and Carlis Johns of Seaside, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Emalene and Sam Vaughn of Sacramento and granddaughter, Taylor Miller of Banning.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Delene McClure of Hayward, Calif.
Visitation took place Feb. 14, 2013 at Wiefels and Son in Banning. The funeral service will he held Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Banning followed by the burial at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Calimesa.
The family suggests memorials in Nathans name to any Breast Cancer Charity.
