Obituary for J.C. Gaiter

Our beloved JC Gaiter, the glue that always helped to hold our family together was Seventy (70) years young when God called him home on December 26, 2012. JC was born on April 5, 1942, in Valhermoso Springs, Alabama to the late Everette and Willie Lee Gaiter. He attended Townsend High School and was an avid Football and Basketball player. He
later went on to serve his country in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea. He joined Donna Swain in Holy Matrimony on January 10, 1990 and for the past 17 years they have resided in Decherd, TN. JC worked for General Motors (GM) on the assembly line at the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, KY and retired after 30 years of service in 1998.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Donna Gaiter, son Anthony (Hope) Gaiter, stepson Jarrod (Angie) Swain, stepdaughter Tammaron Swain and eight (8) grandchildren. He was preceded in his death by his sister Evialee (Frank) Richardson and two brothers Earl (Willeen) and Buford (Kate) Gaiter. He is survived by five (5) loving and vibrant sisters and three (3) strong and loyal brothers; Mildred (Levi) Richard (Shaker Heights, OH), Florida (Calvin) Brazier (Cleveland, OH), Mattie (Calvin) Jones (Cowan, TN), Cora Gaiter (Winchester, TN), Arwillie (Hammick) Fuqua (Winchester, TN), Everette (Barbara) Gaiter (Bedford Heights, OH), David (Phyllis) Gaiter (West Mifflin, PA), Jake Calvin Gaiter (Cowan, TN), and Sister-in-Law Denise Swain (Huntsville, AL). Left to honor his life and legacy is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
