Joseph G. Knezetic

Age 95. Born August 19, 1913 in Joliet and a lifetime resident. Died February 10, 2009 at Bethany Terrace Nursing Centre in Morton Grove, IL. Joe was a loving husband and wonderful father as well as a U.S. WWII Army Veteran and a retired Union Steward with the Laborer's Union Local #75.

Survived by his children, Barbara (nee Knezetic) Yohnka of Chicago; Kathryn (nee Knezetic) Lauric (David) of Colorado Springs, CO.; Kenneth (Teena) Knezetic of Channahon; Cheri (nee Knezetic) (John) Barbosa of Joliet; Norie Knezetic (Kathryn Mehrtens) of Skokie, IL.; and the late Margaret Ann Knezetic; grandchildren, Jeffery Lauric; Kenneth Jr. (Jessica); Kevin (Alyssa), Kyle and Kristopher Knezetic; Gina, Aaron, Adam, and Serena Barbosa; one great granddaughter, Alicia Jade Carlos; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Susan Barbara (nee Bagay) Knezetic; his parents; brothers, George (late Martha) and John; three sisters, Kate DiPaoli, Mary Knezetic and Frances Knezetic Ursich.

Funeral services for Joseph G. Knezetic will be Friday, February 13, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home chapel to St. Bernard Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either the Alzheimers Association or Bethany Terrace Nursing Centre, Alzheimers Unit.
