Obituary for James "Jack" Chapman
JAMES "JACK" CHAPMAN
VERNON HILLS - James "Jack" Chapman, 88, formerly of Sterling, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Advent Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was the owner of Chapman Brothers.
James was born March 13, 1924 in Sterling, the son of Simon and Alice (Idelson) Chapman. He married Ruth French on July 26, 1945 in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, England. He served as a medic in the Army. James was a member of Temple Sholom in Sterling.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Susan (Howard) Wolff, of Deerfield; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one niece.
Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were made by Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling
Donations can be made to the charity of donor's choice.
