Lynden James “Jamie” Zgabay, Jr., 33, of Caldwell, passed away in Bryan on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2012 at Rio Brazos Cowboy Church in Snook with Pastor Joe Dowling officiating.

Jamie was born in Bryan, Texas and was a lifetime resident of the area. He pursued Crystal Divin, the love of his life, beginning in kindergarten when they rode the bus to school together. Jamie chased her throughout their school years and twenty years later he caught her and they were married on March 10, 2012.

He worked for Frac Tech in Hearne, but loved to spend his spare time outdoors with family. Fishing was his passion. Jamie loved to write, had a big heart and would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger. No one was a stranger to him anywhere. He was a compassionate man who loved God and was a member of Rio Brazos Cowboy Church in Snook.

Survivors include his wife, Crystal Divin Zgabay; stepson, Christian Lopez; stepdaughter, Gracie Lopez; parents, Lynden James Zgabay, Sr., of Hearne and Karol Morales and her husband, Jose, of Hearne; brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Arlene Prescott, of Peru; sisters, Heather Zgabay-Bartkowiak and her husband Floyd, Jr., of Bryan, and April Zgabay Barnes, of Hearne; nephews, Michael Barnes and Trae Bartkowiak, and nieces, Alyssa Barnes, and Cianna and Aniela Prescott.
