Ed Callaway Jenkins, Jr., 75, of Bryson City, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Harris Regional Hospital, Sylva. He was the son of the late Ed Callaway and Edith Holden Jenkins. He is also preceded in death by six brothers, Francis, Frank, Jack, Kenneth, Wayne, and Gilbert.

Ed Jenkins is survived by two daughters, Edith Tallent and her husband Kenny McClain of Franklin, Jennifer Loving and her husband Philip of Blountville, TN; by two sons, George Jenkins and his wife Tonda of Franklin, Daniel Lee Jenkins and and his wife Judy of Franklin; by four sisters, Bonnie Breedlove of Bryson City, Dorothy Zinser of Ohio, Sylvia Rivers of Michigan, Patsy Maney of Bryson City; by a brother, Carl L. Jenkins of Bryson City; by ten grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 2PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with Rev. Gilbert Breedlove officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 12 till 2 PM. Burial will be in the Blankenship Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Jenkins, Justin McClain, Shannon McCall, Kenny McClain, Nathan Jenkins, and Mondee Monteith.
