First of all I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Mary Jane and family. Heaven has a new Maestro. I attended Port McNicoll school with John. He graduated a few years before me. We called him " Tickie" then and his passion was playing the piano. He travelled by bus every week to the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. I don't think there was a day when we didn't hear him playing in the auditorium. He accompanied me in both song and dance. I took two piano lessons from him--but wasn't meant to play. He has filled many halls and cathedrals with his music but the halls of Port McNicoll Continuation School, I'm sure still echo his sound. Sincerely Molly {Swales} Uy
