Betty and my grandmother worked together at Vernon's and were very great friends. I always loved Betty and enjoyed seeing her and talking to her, even when she would answer Bud's business phone. Each Christmas, I hang a wreath with felt ornaments of a nativity that Betty made for me and a stocking that she also made for me hangs on my mantle. I now live in Phoenix, where my grandchildren and my mother Verna Koontz live, but I think of Betty often. She will be missed by my family and remembered forever after when we hang her gifts to me each holiday season. Dearest Betty.....rest in peace
