Obituary for Gary Brian Lemon

LEMON, Gary Brian

Of Kitchener, was called to Heaven on Thursday, September 6, 2012 with his family by his side. Gary was born in Guelph on January 20, 1945.

Left here on Earth to cherish his memory and deeply mourn his loss are his loving and devoted wife of 43 years Marlene (née Schiemann) and his beloved son Craig of Oakville. His precious grandchildren Rachael and Aaron will sadly miss their Papa.

Gary is survived by siblings Shirley Griffith, Janet (David) White, Bruce (Jackie) and Dennis (Francine). Also mourning his loss is his sister-in-law Carole Johnson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends of the family.

He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Kathleen (née Lloyd), brother Howard and sister Marilyn McKinnon.

Gary was an employee of Union Gas in Waterloo for 35 years until his retirement in 2002.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Monday, September 10 from 7-9 p.m. and at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave., Kitchener on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 12 noon until the Celebration Service of Gary’s life at 1 p.m. Interment will immediately follow in Woodland Cemetery where Gary’s body will be waiting for the Glorious Day of the Resurrection.

Thank you to Pastor Astley, Pastor Roland and Anita Syens and to all the doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital. The family specially acknowledges Dr. Kumalo and the 6th floor oncology nurses for their kindness and dedicated services.
