Michael Neal "Mike"  Kendrick
Mr. Michael Neal Kendrick, age 62, of 1579 Julius Bridge Road, Ball Ground, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at his daughter’s residence.

Mr. Kendrick was born in Rome, Georgia on September 25, 1949, son of the late James Otis Kendrick and the late Carrie Delilah Grissom Kendrick. He attended the North Atlanta Church of Christ. Mr. Kendrick started his working career with his family business, J. O. Kendrick & Associates in Rome. He later owned and operated the Bass Hawk Boat Company. For the past 15 years, Mr. Kendrick has worked with his wife as CEO of Brenda Tustian Watercolors and was a founder of Corkscrews and Canvas in Marietta and Canton. Mike’s character exemplified Christ as a servant leader. His heart touched the hearts of not only those close to him, but all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Harris Tustian; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lori Culpepper, and her husband, Dennis, Silver Creek, and Mrs. Jeannie King, and her husband, Nate, Rome; a son, Michael Kendrick, and his wife, Angela, Grover Beach, CA; 3 step-children, Robin Harris, Roswell, Sheri Patten, Marietta, and Mark Harris, and his wife, Susan, Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Andrew King, Emily King, Camryn King, Brady King, all of Rome, Breanna Culpepper and Trent Culpepper, both of Silver Creek, Carson Kendrick, Grover Beach, CA, Whitley Sanders, Marietta, Zachary Sanders and Preston Sanders, both of Charleston, Autumn Harris, and Blake Harris, both of Johnson City, TN; a sister, Ms. Pam Kendrick Winton, Pike Road, Ala.; 2 brothers, Jim Kendrick, Oxford, Ala. and Dr. John Kendrick, Valdosta; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Saturday, September 8, 2012, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Winstead officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home in Canton on Friday from 6 until 8pm, and on Saturday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home from 1pm until the service time. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence of a daughter, Jeannie King, 30 Dover Drive, Rome.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday at 2:30pm and include: Zach Sanders, Preston Sanders, Gene Free, Phil Ritter, Bobby Taylor, and Jimmy Dudley.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
