Condolences

Condolence From: Connie jones
Condolence: At this year's anniversary, I wanted to tell you Roger is not forgotten at SeniorsPlus. Our nutrition staff still proudly wear their SeniorsPlus baseball hats with RDO embroidered on the back, every day they enter the kitchen, the sign commemorating Roger is there on the big wall, and staff continue their work in the "Roger" way. The other day I was cleaning old messages off my voicemail - and there was Roger's voice - it was so good to hear it again. We miss him.

Condolence: I am Roger's counterpart at the Southern Maine Agency on Aging. During the few years we worked together I and my colleagues enjoyed Roger's warmth and wisdom and came to feel great affection for him. We will sorely miss him.

Condolence: Chef Roger was an inspiration for all Maine chefs. He was a master at the craft and justly honored for his terrific talent and many contributions to the profession.

Chef Roger was the consummate kitchen professional. Unflappable and always ready with a plan B.

Above all else he was a truly nice man, always willing to contribute time and talent and always with a willing smile and attitude to match. He was admired, and loved by so many. Maine foodservice has lost another of its most famous icons.

He will be sadly missed.
