Marjorie J.  Stoneking
Marjorie J. Stoneking – age 80 – of Uniontown, Ohio went to be with the Lord Thursday – April 16, 2009 at the Akron City Hospital – Akron, Ohio. She was born January 8, 1929 in Jefferson County, Oh. The daughter of the late Frederick William Bartels, mama Alice McDonald Bartels and mother Eunice Hudson Bartels. Marjorie is a member of the Northfield Village Community Church and is a graduate of Jefferson Union (Edison Local) High School and the East Liverpool School of Nursing. She is retired as a registered nurse in 2001 after more than 50 years of Nursing. Marjorie was preceded in death by: Parents; and brothers- George and Harry Bartels; sister-in-law – Doris Dean Bartels; brother-in-law Robert and his wife Mary Stoneking. Her survivors are: Husband: Herbert A. Stoneking of Uniontown whom she married Sept. 20, 1951. Daughters: Susan (Cookie) Baltzly and husband David of Chandler, Arizona; Kathy Stoneking Tilker and husband William of Northfield; and Barbara Stoneking of Uniontown, Oh. Brothers: John Bartels of Salem, Oh; Ernest Bartels and wife Carol; Paul Bartels and wife Shirley; Fred Bartels and wife Carol all of Toronto, Oh. Brother-In-Law: Ben Sharpnack and wife Jane of Tallmadge, Oh. Sister-In-Law Marylee Roberta Stoneking of Columbus, Oh. Grandchildren: David Varner and wife Lois; Steve Varner and wife Heather; Lisa Lee Steick and husband Ken; Zachary Arthur Baltzly; Rayna Wier Hershberger and husband Dane; Charlie Tilker; John E Nichols and wife Jeanette; Angela Poole; Hunter Stoneking; and Rachel Stoneking.15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will gather for visitation 4 – 8 Sunday April 19th at the Clarke Funeral Home – 302 Main St. – Toronto. 740-537-1234 or 800-588-1446. there will be additional visitation from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Monday – April 20th. A celebration service of Marjorie's life will be held 1:00 P.M Monday with the Rev. Edwin Spangler officiating. Burial will follow at the Island Creek Cemetery Memorial contributions in memory of Marjorie may be made to the American Cancer Society – 1212 Jefferson St. – Steubenville, OH 43952
