Wilda F.  Sacratini (Mort)
Wilda F. Sacratini, 97, of Homewood Retirement Center, Martinsburg formerly of Six Mile Run, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Homewood in Martinsburg. She was born on February 10, 1915 in Round Knob, PA; a daughter of late Blair and Bertha (Figard) Mort. On July 1, 1937 in Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania; she married Quarine Sacratini. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1970.



She is survived by two children:

Gary B. Sacratini married to Deloris, Pikeville, KY

Brenda J. Sacratini, Cuyahoga Falls, OH



Two Grandchildren:

Lindsey Blair Sacratini

Eric Sacratini



Brother and Sisters:

Ardath married to Donnie Wright, Six Mile Run, PA

Lorene married to Olan Cain, Mogadore, OH

Jim Mort married to Leila “Tip” Mort, Huntingdon, PA

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters:

Ethel Mort Bloom, Chet Mort, Wilfred “Bud” Mort and Vera “Jake” Mort.



Mrs. Sacratini was a member of the Six Mile Run United Methodist Church.



She was a graduate of Broad Top High School Class of 1933.



She was an Avon sales representative in the Saxton area for a period of years but was mainly a homemaker. She was a loving mother that was loved very much.



Wilda was very active in church activities, the women’s auxiliary and civic events while living in the Six Mile Run area. Her pastimes included crafts, crocheting and her biggest enjoyment was time spent with her family. She was especially proud of her granddaughter, Lindsey.



Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jerry McCullen Jr. officiating.



Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service.



Burial will be held at Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run.



If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Sacratini to the Homewood Retirement Center %Benevolent Fund, 437 Givler Drive, Martinsburg, PA 16662.



The Sacratini family stated…. “We would like to thank the staff at Homewood for the wonderful care given to our mom over the years she resided there.”
