Annette Rebekah  Miller (Gracey)
Annette Rebekah Miller, 149 Georgetown Road, Hadley (Sandy Creek Twp.) peacefully went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family at her residence, at 7:35 am on Friday, May 18, 2012, following a courageous nine month battle with cancer.

Annette was born on March 20, 1932 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Allen Andrew and Bertha Mae Dennison-Linheart Gracey. On April 10, 1973 she married Lawrence E. “Gene” Miller, who survives. Throughout her life, she had been employed at Westinghouse in Meadville, the Meadville Malleable, Coinco in Cochranton, and various supermarkets. She was a 1950 graduate of Meadville High School, and a member of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church. Annette was an animal lover and a champion of the poor and forgotten. She treasured her children and grandchildren as the jewels of her life. Her smile and vivid blue eyes brought light to the lives of innumerable people.

In addition to her husband of 39 years, she is survived by a son, Paul Clair Christy and his wife Diane of Conneaut Lake; two daughters, Bonnie Lou Dunn and her husband Adam of Meadville, and Brenda Sue LaPorte and her husband Jess of Williamson, NY; a step-daughter Darlene Gene Span and her husband Robert Trostle of Mars, and a step-son Darrell Lynn Miller of Conneaut Lake; one sister Catherine Alberta Brown of Frewsburg, NY; two grandchildren, Timothy Paul Christy and his wife Lisa of Portland, Oregon, and Chelsea Anne Mailliard of Erie; five step-grandchildren, Taylor Alexandra Span, Madison Elizabeth Span, Clarissa Sue Miller, Candace Lynn Harper and her husband Justin, and Darrell Lynn Miller II; a step-great grandson Hayden Lee Harper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Bertha Ida Barber and two brothers, Allen Andrew Gracey Jr. and William Oscar Gracey.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home, Ltd., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Steven Lamb, pastor of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at the Stevenson Cemetery, Salem Twp.
