Phil and Georgia Elvrum
My acquaintance with Bob Anderson started on my first day as a school employee. I was invited to lunch and Bob was invited as district music coordinator. We sat at the same table.
Although we play no instruments, my wife and I love good music so when Cascade Symphony began playing concerts at EJH we started attending with our kids.
In 1968 I became Vice Principal and then Principal at EJH. That assignment included working with Bob who used our auditorium. Through Bob’s influence we received the use of a magnificent concert piano through the good graces of Mr. Steves (Rick’s Father).
Bob and I became fast friends. I served on the symphony board for 14 years- 8 as president. I continue to be struck by the loyalty of the musicians who serve year after year, and in many cases into the next generation, who continue to provide a legacy of fine music to our community. Thanks Bob.
