Funeral service for Mr. John Thomas Trotter, 78, of Nacogdoches, Texas will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Bro. G.W. McFadden, Bro. Wesley Spry and Bro. David Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery.
John was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 24, 2012. He was born on July 2, 1933, in Reno, Texas to the late Noah Trotter and Addie Lou Pugh Trotter.
John graduated from Springtown High School in 1951. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from the Baptist Theological Seminary and was a Baptist minister for 33 years.
He is survived by his loving wife JoAnn Russell Trotter; children, Gene Trotter and wife, Evonne, Edd Trotter and wife, Leigh Ann, DeeAnn Stewart, Tabatha Crowder and husband, Tim, Phillip Gann and wife, Sue, Cynthia Gann; 15 grandchildren, as well as numerous other extended family and good friends.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Trotter, David Trotter, Mark Baker, Jimmy Russell, Carl Russell, Kenneth McNease, Brody Trotter and Brian Trotter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Trotter, Colton Stewart, Corey Trotter, Jaydan Hunter, Brady Trotter, Logan Trotter, Peyton Crowder and Austin Leggett.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, from 6-8 PM at Laird Funeral Home.
