Eileen Burr, 75, passed surrounded by her family at home on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012, St. Ludmila Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids by Father Dennis Juhl. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids where a vigil will begin at 5:00 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. There will also be visitation one hour before the service at the church.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Kenneth of 58 years; three daughters, Kathy Johnston, Karleen (Sam) Steichen, and Khris Burr; a son, Kenneth (Denice); ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Kathryn Bracy; two brothers, Richard and David Bracy; a sister, Esther Ferrick; and her most beloved dog, Buddy.

With her husband Ken, Eileen enjoyed camping with family and friends and especially enjoyed taking her grandchildren. Together, they also enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars and NASCAR racing. In her spare time she loved to crochet blankets and cross stitch baby quilts for her family.

She retired from Rockwell in 1992 and looked forward to monthly gatherings with other retiree friends.

A memorial fund has been established in memory of Eileen.
