Carol Elliott
Dear J.C., The Elliott family extends to you, Katherine, and Andrew our deepest sympathy When we moved to DC over 52 years ago Barbara was the first person I met. Both Barbara and I were working at the National Child Research Center and it was the first professional job for both of us. I was delighted to learn that we not only shared a work relationship but we were neighbors in Parkfairfax. I did not remain at NCRC for long but we remained friends even after your family moved to a beautiful house near by and we moved to the Mt. Vernon area of VA. When our children were young we often got together. The silver cup our oldest son received from you now is engraved with the name of our grandson. Barbara loved crafts from her native TN and she sparked a similar interest in me. Many of our gifts from Barbara we still use daily. I will alway remember her as a beautiful, gracious, fun loving friend. She made me feel welcome in a new city when I was very young and often felt homesick. She will always be remembered.
