Obituary for Wallace Moshier

Mr. Wallace E. Moshier, age 76, of Herkimer, passed away on Thursday September 29, 2005 at St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford. He was born on July 8, 1929 in Little Falls, and received his education in Little Falls schools. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Dayton "Dick" Moshier, who preceded him in death. Mr. Moshier was a lifelong area resident and joined in marriage with the former Carolyn J. Harter on July 25, 1964. He was formerly married to Lila Anderson Moshier of Little Falls. Wally had worked last with Harvey Mills Brown Brothers Oil and Coal in Little Falls where he had delivered fuel for many years. He was a member of the East Herkimer Fish & Game Club, and a lifetime member of the Polish Community Club of Herkimer. He was also a past governor of the Ilion Moose Lodge. He is survived by a son and daughter in law: Gary and Sonya Moshier of East Syracuse, a daughter Sharlene Moshier of Herkimer, his grandchildren: Gary Moshier, Jr., and Jacqueline Moshier, two brothers and a sister in law: Duke & Sophie Moshier of Little Falls; and Ted Moshier of Ilion; two sisters and brother in law: Gert Grescheck and husband Anthony of Jordanville; and Shirley and Joe Smith of Florida; a brother in law: Leo Singer of Indian Castle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was predeceased by his son: Wallace Moshier, his sister: Emma Singer, and a sister in law: Joan Moshier. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls.
