Frank Attillio  Valentini
Frank Attilio Valentini, Jr., 64, of Parrall, passed on Sunday, August 14, 2005, following a courageous battle with Leukemia.He was born May 28, 1941, in Lorain, O., to the late Frank A. and Mary Viola Valentini, Sr. Frank worked at Carrollton Graphics from 1977 until his retirement in 1990. He will also be remembered as a culinary instructor at the Wooster and Dover Beuhlers Stores. Frank had a passion for life and was active in civic, social and charitable organizations including the Tuscarawas Co. Democratic party, the Dover Exchange Club, Toastmasters, as an activist for Green Peace, as a Parrall Village Council member, and as a speaker for and member of Life Banc. In 1992 Frank was the recipient of a new heart and was committed to spreading the word about organ donation.He enjoyed jazz, classic film noir, sailing, reading and spending time with family and friends, especially spending time with his granddaughter.He is survived by his wife Joanne McCabe Valentini; their sons, Frank Attilio (Cynthia) Valentini, III, of Portland, Or., and John Kerr Valentini, of Columbus, O.; daughter and son-in-law, Kyle Nisan Valentini and Clint Alguire, of Dover; granddaughter, Francesca Valentini Alguire, of Dover; sister, Lenora Fieldson, of Navarre, Fl.; aunt, Josephine Moldovan, of Alpharetta, Ga.; cousins, the Michael Moldovan family of Cortland, O., and Richard and Marie Maxwell of Alpharetta, Ga.; dear friends, JoAnn Haber, of Deersville and Timothy Morrison, of State College, PA; and many friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.A memorial service in celebration of Frank's life will be held Tuesday August 16, 2005, at 7 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at 5600 N. Wooster Ave., Dover. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 7 pm., and following the service at a reception in the Geib Center Hospitality Room at the same address.Memorial contributions in Frank's memory are suggested to one of his favorite havens, the Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St. Dover, OH 44622
