Helen Edith Farrow, 84, of Dover, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 in New Dawn Retirement Community at Dover following a period of declining health. Helen was born May 16, 1926 at Manheim, West Virginia.Helen was retired from Union Hospital at Dover where she worked as a cook for more than 25 years. She attended Midvale United Methodist Church and was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bingo in her earlier years.She had a wonderful sense of humor and personality that everyone enjoyed. Helen cherished her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and even their friends referred to her as Grandma.Surviving are her children, David (Lorraine) Farrow of New Philadelphia, Steve (Judy) Farrow of Newcomerstown, Mary (Jack) Rothenberger of North Port, Florida and Susan (Mike) Winkler of Uhrichsville; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert K. Farrow who passed away in June 1984.In keeping with Helen's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Geib's Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.Those wishing to do so may send the family a personal condolence and view an online memorial by visiting the funeral home website.
