Obituary for Bruce Wesley Peters

Bruce Wesley Peters, 82, of rural Princeton passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East.
He was born on June 6, 1929 to Wesley and Anna (Hartfiel) Peters. Bruce grew up in the Crown area, was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of Crown. He attended country school and graduated from Cambridge High School.
On August 28, 1964 he was united in marriage to Nancy Goetzke at Zion Lutheran Church. They made their home on the Peters farm and raised their four children. Bruce worked his dairy farm for many years and also worked at Fingerhut in Princeton, and also did some logging. He retired after he underwent open heart surgery.
Bruce was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church of Crown and also a member of the Minnesota Dairy Association. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and was a handy man, always working on and fixing things.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy on July 18, 2011, sister Patty Phillips, brothers-in-law Adolph Fiebing and Robert Sabin. Bruce is survived by son Darold and wife Joni Peters of Princeton, daughters Mary and husband Art Witte of Princeton, Betty and husband Jim Domogalla of Central City, KY, Starletta Peters of Princeton, six grandchildren Jeff Lindberg, Jaime Lindberg-Kutter (Jim Holevas), Elizabeth Witte (Chad Hous), Nathan Witte, Andrew Witte and Katie Witte, three great grandchildren James Holevas Jr., Jenna Holevas and Jayla Holevas, sisters Alice Fiebing of North Branch, Bernice (Bion) Babb of Princeton, Carol Sabin of Cambridge, as well as numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
